Before you arrive

You complete a detailed cardiac questionnaire covering symptoms, family history, medications, and lifestyle factors. This helps the cardiologist focus the assessment on your specific risk profile.

On the day

You are collected from your 5-star hotel. Your personal translator accompanies you throughout. You should arrive fasting for the blood tests (8-10 hours, water is fine).

The day begins with blood draws for cardiac markers, lipid profile, and blood chemistry. You then move through the cardiac assessments: resting ECG, echocardiogram (a non-invasive ultrasound of your heart), and exercise stress test on a treadmill. The stress test involves walking and gradually increasing intensity while your heart rhythm, blood pressure, and oxygen levels are continuously monitored.

Cardiologist consultation

A consultant cardiologist reviews all results, bloods, ECG, echo images, and stress test data, together. They explain your findings clearly, discuss your cardiovascular risk profile, and provide specific recommendations. This is not a rushed five-minute appointment. You have time to ask questions and understand your results fully.

After your check-up

You receive a comprehensive cardiac report in English, suitable for sharing with your GP back home. The rest of your stay is yours to enjoy.

No recovery is needed. All cardiac tests are non-invasive.

On the day:

• The exercise stress test may leave you mildly out of breath (this is the point of the test), you recover within minutes
• The echocardiogram involves no discomfort, a small ultrasound probe is placed on your chest
• Blood draw may leave a small bruise
• You may feel slightly tired from the fasting and the stress test, a good lunch resolves this

After your check-up:

• No restrictions on activity, diet, or travel
• Share your cardiac report with your GP for continuity of care
