Your Dental Consultation, From £25
A thorough in-person dental examination with a clear treatment plan and transparent pricing, so you know exactly what you need before committing.
Your dental journey starts with a consultation. This is a thorough, in-person examination by an experienced dentist at our partner clinic in Turkey. You get a clear, honest assessment of your dental health, a detailed treatment plan, and transparent pricing, all with no obligation to proceed.
In the UK, a private dental consultation costs between £50 and £150. With The Health Store Turkey, the same in-person consultation starts from just £25. If you proceed with treatment, the consultation fee is typically included in your overall package.
Many patients have a consultation on day one of their trip, with treatment starting the same day or the following day. Your patient coordinator helps you plan the schedule so your time in Turkey is used efficiently.
Please note that initial assessments based on photos and X-rays you send from home are free of charge. The in-person consultation fee applies when you visit the clinic in Turkey for a comprehensive examination.
What Is Dental Consultation?
What Is a Dental Consultation?
A dental consultation is a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, jaw, and overall oral health by a qualified dentist. It is the essential first step before any dental treatment.
During the consultation, your dentist examines your teeth visually and with instruments, reviews your dental X-rays (panoramic X-ray or 3D scan, which can be taken at the clinic), discusses your concerns and goals, and creates a personalised treatment plan.
The treatment plan includes a detailed breakdown of every procedure recommended, the materials used, the timeline, and the cost of each item. There are no hidden costs, you see the full picture before deciding.
This consultation is also your opportunity to ask questions, discuss alternatives, and make sure you feel comfortable with the dentist and the clinic. There is no obligation to proceed with any treatment. If you decide to go ahead, the consultation fee is usually credited toward your treatment cost.
Am I Suitable?
Am I a Good Candidate?
A dental consultation is for anyone who wants:
- A thorough dental assessment from an experienced dentist
- A second opinion on treatment recommended by their dentist at home
- A clear treatment plan with pricing before committing to dental work in Turkey
- To meet the dental team and see the clinic before proceeding
- An initial examination as the first step of their dental treatment trip
There are no eligibility requirements for a consultation. It is the starting point for all dental treatment at our partner clinics.
What Happens During the Procedure?
What Happens During Your Consultation?
The Examination (30-60 Minutes)
Your dentist carries out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and jaw. This includes visual inspection, probing, and assessment of any existing dental work (fillings, crowns, bridges).
If an X-ray or 3D scan is needed, this can be taken at the clinic (panoramic X-ray from £22, charged separately if required).
Discussion
Your dentist discusses their findings, explains any issues identified, and talks through the treatment options. You are encouraged to ask questions and share your preferences and concerns.
Treatment Plan
You receive a written treatment plan detailing every procedure recommended, the materials and brands used, the timeline, and the cost of each item. The plan is yours to keep, there is no pressure to decide immediately.
What Happens Next
If you decide to proceed, treatment can often begin the same day or the following day. If you need time to think, you take the plan home and contact your coordinator when you are ready.
Recovery & Aftercare
Recovery and Aftercare
There is no recovery needed after a dental consultation. It is a non-invasive examination.
If your dentist takes X-rays during the consultation, these are digital and involve minimal radiation exposure, comparable to a few hours of natural background radiation.
Your consultation records and treatment plan are provided to you and kept on file at the clinic.
Risks & Considerations
Risks and Considerations
A dental consultation is a completely safe, non-invasive examination with no risks.
The only consideration is that X-rays involve a very small dose of radiation. Digital X-rays used at our partner clinics use significantly lower radiation than traditional X-ray films. If you are pregnant or suspect you may be, inform your dentist before any X-rays are taken.

Frequently Asked Questions
The initial remote assessment (based on photos and X-rays you send from home) is free. The in-person consultation at the clinic in Turkey starts from £25. If you proceed with treatment, the consultation fee is typically included in your overall treatment cost. You are never charged hidden fees.
Bring any recent dental X-rays you have (your dentist at home can provide copies). If you take any medications, bring a list. If you have a specific concern or goal, note it down so you do not forget to mention it. Photos of your teeth (front, sides, and any problem areas) are also helpful if you have not already shared them with your coordinator.
In many cases, yes. If the treatment you need is straightforward (fillings, extractions, impressions for crowns or dentures), it can often begin on consultation day. For more complex procedures, the consultation informs the treatment plan and work begins the following day. Your coordinator helps schedule your trip accordingly.
Absolutely. Many patients visit for a second opinion on treatment plans they have received in the UK. Bring your UK dentist's treatment plan and any X-rays. Your dentist in Turkey provides an independent assessment and can often offer alternative approaches or confirm the recommended treatment, with transparent pricing so you can compare.
None at all. The consultation gives you a clear picture of your dental health and options, but there is absolutely no obligation to proceed. You can take the treatment plan home, think it over, and contact your coordinator whenever you are ready. There is no pressure, and no follow-up sales calls.
