What Is Fat Injection (1 Area)?
Fat injection is a two-step procedure that uses your own fat cells to add volume to a specific area of your body.
Step 1, Fat harvesting: Your surgeon uses gentle liposuction to collect fat from a donor area, typically the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. This has the added benefit of contouring the donor site.
Step 2, Processing and injection: The harvested fat is processed (centrifuged and purified) to concentrate the healthy fat cells. These are then carefully injected into the target area using fine cannulae, layering the fat gradually to achieve an even, natural result.
Common target areas for fat injection include:
- Face, restoring volume to cheeks, under-eyes, temples, or lips
- Hands, rejuvenating ageing hands
- Breasts, subtle volume enhancement without implants

What Happens During the Procedure?
Before your trip: Video consultation to discuss the area you want to enhance, assess your donor fat availability, and plan the procedure.
Day 1, Arrival: VIP airport transfer to your 5-star hotel.
Day 2, Procedure day: Gentle liposuction to harvest fat from the donor site, followed by processing and injection into the target area. The procedure takes approximately 1-2 hours under general anaesthesia.
Days 3-4, Hospital stay: Recovery in a private room. Both the donor site and the injected area are monitored.
Day 5, Hotel recovery: Patient coordinator check-in. Light walking.
Day 6, Departure: Final check-up and VIP airport transfer.

Recovery & Aftercare
Recovery from fat injection involves healing at both the donor site and the injection site.
Days 1-5: Swelling and bruising at both the donor site (from liposuction) and the injection site. The injected area will look swollen and overfull initially, this is intentional and expected.
Weeks 1-2: Swelling begins to reduce at both sites. Light activities possible. Avoid pressure on the injected area.
Weeks 2-4: Most swelling resolves. The injected area starts to settle. Some of the transferred fat will be naturally reabsorbed during this period, this is normal.
Months 2-3: The surviving fat cells establish their blood supply and become permanent. The volume stabilises.
Months 3-6: Final results are visible. The retained fat looks and feels natural.
Risks & Considerations
Fat injection is generally safe, as it uses your own tissue. Potential risks include infection, bruising, asymmetry, fat necrosis (hardening of some fat cells), oil cysts, and unpredictable fat survival rates.
At the donor site, risks are the same as for liposuction (bruising, contour irregularities, numbness).
