Breast Reduction (Mammoplasty) in Turkey
Relieve discomfort and restore confidence with breast reduction, from £2,820 with hospital stay, 5-star hotel, and 12 months aftercare.
Living with overly large breasts can affect far more than your appearance. Back pain, neck pain, shoulder grooving from bra straps, skin irritation, difficulty exercising, and self-consciousness are all common experiences, and they can significantly impact your quality of life.
Breast reduction (mammoplasty) removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to create smaller, lighter, more proportionate breasts. It is one of the procedures with the highest patient satisfaction rates in all of cosmetic treatment, because the relief is both physical and emotional.
In the UK, breast reduction typically costs £6,000-£8,000 with waiting times of 6-18 months (longer if seeking NHS funding, which is increasingly restricted). Your all-inclusive package from £2,820 includes your procedure at a government-licensed hospital, 2 nights in hospital, 5 nights in a 5-star hotel, VIP airport transfers, a personal translator, and 12 months of aftercare.
What Is Breast Reduction (Mammoplasty)?
Breast reduction is a surgical procedure that removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to reduce the size and weight of your breasts. At the same time, your surgeon reshapes the remaining tissue and repositions the nipple to create a lifted, proportionate shape.
The most common technique uses an anchor-shaped (or inverted-T) incision pattern: around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and along the crease itself. For smaller reductions, a vertical (lollipop) technique may be used, resulting in less scarring.
Your surgeon removes a carefully calculated amount of tissue based on your desired size and body proportions. The nipple and areola remain attached to the underlying tissue (maintaining blood supply and sensation in most cases) and are repositioned higher on the breast mound.
The result is smaller, lighter breasts that are in better proportion with your body. Most patients notice immediate relief from back and neck pain, and many say they wish they had done it sooner.
Am I Suitable?
You may be a good candidate for breast reduction if you:
- Experience back, neck, or shoulder pain related to breast size
- Have skin irritation or rashes beneath your breasts
- Find it difficult to exercise or participate in physical activities
- Feel self-conscious about the size of your breasts
- Have deep grooves in your shoulders from bra straps
- Are at a stable weight and in good general health
- Do not smoke, or can stop at least 4 weeks before the procedure
Breast reduction is suitable for adults of any age. If you are still growing or plan to breastfeed in the future, discuss this with your surgeon during the consultation.
What Happens During the Procedure?
Before your trip: A video consultation to discuss your goals, current cup size, desired size, and medical history. You may be asked to provide photographs for surgical planning.
Day 1, Arrival: VIP transfer from the airport to your 5-star hotel.
Day 2, Procedure day: Your surgeon performs a final assessment and marks the incision lines. The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 2-3 hours. Excess tissue is removed, and your breasts are reshaped and lifted.
Days 3-4, Hospital stay: Recovery in a private room with nursing care. A supportive surgical bra is fitted. Drains may be placed to prevent fluid build-up (removed before discharge in most cases).
Days 5-7, Hotel recovery: Daily check-ins from your patient coordinator. Light walking encouraged. Your breasts will be swollen but already noticeably smaller and lighter.
Day 8, Departure: Final surgeon check-up and VIP airport transfer.
Ongoing: 12 months of aftercare with regular check-ins.
Recovery & Aftercare
Most breast reduction patients are pleasantly surprised by how quickly they feel better, many report immediate relief from back and neck pain even while still swollen.
Week 1: Swelling, bruising, and mild to moderate discomfort. Prescribed pain medication keeps you comfortable. Wear your surgical bra day and night. Sleep on your back.
Weeks 2-3: Swelling reduces noticeably. Light daily activities are possible. Many patients feel well enough to return to desk work from week 2. Avoid lifting anything over 2 kg.
Weeks 4-6: Most patients are back to normal daily life. Swelling continues to subside. You can gradually return to exercise (start with walking and lower body, then build up).
Months 2-3: Scars begin to mature from pink to lighter tones. Sensation in the nipple area may fluctuate (this is normal and usually resolves).
Months 6-12: Final shape and size are established. Scars continue to fade for up to 18 months. Most patients describe this period as life-changing, the freedom of lighter, more proportionate breasts.
Risks & Considerations
Breast reduction is a well-established procedure with high satisfaction rates. As with any surgery, there are risks to consider.
Potential risks include infection, bleeding, scarring (scars are permanent but fade significantly), changes in or loss of nipple sensation, asymmetry, and difficulty breastfeeding in the future. In rare cases, wound healing may be delayed.
Your procedure is performed in a government-licensed, JCI-accredited hospital by experienced surgeons. The 12-month aftercare programme ensures any post-operative concerns are addressed promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions
This depends on your starting size, body proportions, and desired outcome. Most patients reduce by 1-3 cup sizes. Your surgeon will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation and help you decide on a target size that is proportionate to your frame.
Breast reduction can affect breastfeeding ability because some milk ducts are disrupted during the procedure. Many women can still breastfeed, but it is not guaranteed. If future breastfeeding is important, discuss this with your surgeon before the procedure.
Yes, the majority of patients experience significant relief from back, neck, and shoulder pain after breast reduction. Many describe it as the most impactful benefit of the procedure. Studies consistently show high rates of pain improvement following breast reduction.
NHS funding for breast reduction has become increasingly restricted. You typically need to demonstrate significant physical symptoms and may face waiting times of 12-18 months or longer. Many patients choose to have the procedure privately to avoid the wait and uncertainty.
Breast reduction leaves scars in a lollipop or anchor pattern (around the areola, down to the breast crease, and sometimes along the crease). Scars are red and raised initially but fade significantly over 12-18 months. Most patients find the scars are a very acceptable trade-off for the benefits of the procedure.
