Eyelid Aesthetic Surgery in Turkey

Eyelid Aesthetic Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
As people age, their eyelids will often change. This may be due to genetic factors, excess muscle or skin, herniation of fat tissues or various other causes. These changes can create an aesthetic effect some people find undesirable. Over time, these changes may also effect a person’s vision or physical comfort. The upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both may be effected. Eyelid Aesthetic Surgery, or Blepharoplasty, can reduce or reverse these changes.
The operation usually takes around 1-1.5 hours. Clients usually return home on the day of the operation. The operation may be performed under local or general anaesthesia. For the upper lid, the incision is made within the natural fold of the eyelid, so the mark that remains after the procedure is minimal and naturally hidden. For the lower lid, the incision is made immediately beneath the eyelashes or inside the eyelid. Again, this leaves minimal marks that are naturally hidden.
There may be some bruising after the procedure, but it will fade within a week after surgery. Stitches are usually removed after four or five days. Any swelling will usually fade within a month of the procedure. At this point, the patient will have a more youthful appearance and greater physical comfort. Clients sometimes undergo Eyelid Aesthetic Surgery alongside eyebrow lifting procedures for a more comprehensive and longer-lasting effect.

How long does the operation take?
The operation takes about 1-1.5 hours. It’s usually possible for patients to return home on the day of the operation.
How much time should I plan to take off work and how soon can I exercise again?
Normal activities, including work and exercise, can usually be resumed within 7-10 days of the operation. After 2 weeks most of the bruising will have faded completely or to a point where it is easily disguised.
Will there be any bruising or swelling?
Bruising or swelling is most severe in the days immediately after the operation. However, it will usually begin to fade within 48 hours. During this period, the use of a cooling compress will speed up this process and reduce swelling and discomfort.
